About this project
FutureMakers helps primary school students develop skills that are not usually taught in regular classes. The focus is on critical thinking, creativity and identifying and solving real problems.
Each module begins with a current issue such as pollution, excessive energy use, recycling or food waste. Students analyse the situation and propose their own solutions. They are encouraged to think freely and explore several approaches instead of stopping at the first idea.
Our role is to guide them through that analysis and give them the tools to find a workable solution. After brainstorming, we present the solution developed by Team CyLiis as an Arduino project and build it together over the following weeks.
How children learn
- Identify a problem
- Find possible solutions
- Choose the most suitable approach
- Put the solution into practice
- Present the final result
